Outstanding Master's and Doctoral Theses
Outstanding Master’s and Doctoral Thesis Award in Korean Studies
To encourage students of our university to actively engage in research related to Korean Studies and enhance their academic capabilities, our center has established the “Outstanding Master’s and Doctoral Thesis Award.”
Eligibility:
Current Master’s and Doctoral students at our university (including students in professional Master’s programs)
Application Requirements:
The applicant must have presented or published an original paper related to Korean Studies (e.g., Korean history, culture, thought, literature, etc.) at an academic conference or in an academic journal, either at our university or elsewhere.
The paper must have been published within two years prior to the application deadline and must not have previously received this award.
The paper must list our university as the first affiliated institution, and the applicant must be the first or corresponding author.
Application Deadline:
March 14, 2025 (Friday), 5:00 PM
Required Documents:
For conference papers: Conference program, full paper, and proof of attendance
For journal articles: Journal name, publication date, and proof of publication
Award Amount and Quota:
Award Amount: NT$15,000 per paper
Number of Awards: 1–3 recipients (each paper may receive the award only once and cannot be submitted again)
Important Notes:
The awarded paper must be an original research paper published within two years before the application deadline (for journal articles, the publication date will be used).
Each paper may only be submitted once and cannot be used to apply for other awards or grants.

Outstanding Graduate Student Academic Paper Award in Korean Studies
To encourage our university’s students to actively engage in research related to Korean Studies and enhance their academic research capabilities, our center has established the “Outstanding Graduate Student Academic Paper Award.” We warmly welcome all eligible students to apply!
Eligibility:
Current Master’s and Doctoral students of our university (including students in professional Master’s programs)
Application Requirements:
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Have presented or published an original paper related to Korean Studies (e.g., Korean history, culture, thought, literature, etc.) at an academic conference or in an academic journal, either at our university or elsewhere.
The paper must have been published within two years prior to the application deadline and must not have previously received this award.
The paper must list our university as the primary affiliated institution, and the applicant must be the first or corresponding author.
Application Deadline:
October 30, 2024 (Wednesday), by 5:00 PM
Required Documents:
For conference papers: Conference program, full paper, and proof of attendance
For journal articles: Journal name, publication date, and proof of publication
Award Amount and Number of Recipients:
Award Amount: NT$15,000 per paper
Number of Recipients: 1–3 (Each paper may only receive the award once and cannot be resubmitted)

Only original research papers published within two years prior to the application deadline are eligible (for journal articles, the publication date is used as reference).
