Exchange Activities
Workshop in Korea
The Workshop in Korea is held every winter break of the academic year.
The workshop aims to:
Enhance students’ understanding of Korea, particularly those enrolled in the “Korean Studies and Language Program” at NTNU’s College of Liberal Arts.
Motivate participants to conduct research on Korea.
Strengthen students’ Korean language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
In addition to visiting Korea’s iconic historical and cultural sites, participants will attend academic seminars co-hosted by Sungkyunkwan University and Taiwan-based partner universities. They will also have the opportunity to engage with local students.

Workshop in Taiwan
The Workshop in Taiwan primarily recruits students from the Tri-University Alliance. Stepping outside the classroom, participants visit different cities and counties in Taiwan for cultural exploration. Throughout the journey, all conversations are conducted in Korean, helping students improve their listening and speaking skills.
Additionally, Korean students are recruited as camp counselors to provide language support and guidance.
Beyond listening and speaking practice, the camp also encourages students to express their reflections on the visits in written Korean, achieving a well-rounded training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Sungkyunkwan University Exchange Activity
Our center also strives to promote academic and cultural exchanges with other universities in Korea, allowing Taiwanese and Korean students to develop a deeper understanding of each other.
In 2024, we recruited students with strong Korean language skills to engage in an exchange with students from the Department of Confucian Studies and Oriental Studies at Sungkyunkwan University.
During the exchange, Korean students shared insights on Confucian perspectives in Korean culture and introduced the traditional Korean game Yut Nori. Meanwhile, NTNU students presented aspects of Taiwan’s temple culture and traditional snacks, fostering a meaningful cultural exchange.

Sungkyunkwan University - Taiwan Greater Bay Area Partner Universities Joint Seminar
Every winter, the Sungkyunkwan University – Taiwan Greater Bay Area Partner Universities Joint Seminar is held, involving institutions such as Sungkyunkwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Chengchi University, and Chinese Culture University.
The seminar primarily focuses on academic presentations related to topics such as Korean Studies, Taiwanese Studies, and Taiwan-Korea comparative studies, aiming to enhance academic exchanges between Taiwanese and Korean universities.
