Korean Studies and Language Program Academic Scholarship

The College of Liberal Arts at National Taiwan Normal University offers the “Korean Studies and Language Program” in collaboration with the “2023 Korean Studies Revitalization Project” funded by the Ministry of Education of Korea. The “Academic Scholarship” is one of the activities under this program. Therefore, we are selecting students to receive the academic scholarship.
1. What is the Academic Scholarship?
☞ The academic scholarship is a reward granted to enhance the academic ability and learning motivation of students in the Korean Language Program. Since it is a “scholarship,” students who have already received other scholarships from different institutions are also eligible to apply.
2. How much is the Academic Scholarship and how many students will be selected?
☞ The scholarship is NT$8,000 per semester, with 10 spots available.
3. Who is eligible to apply?
☞ Students enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program at National Taiwan Normal University in the 113-2 semester who do not have exchange programs abroad.
☞ Students with Korean Language Program status will be given priority.
※ Students who have previously received this academic scholarship are not eligible to apply.
4. What is the application period for the Academic Scholarship?
☞ From February 12 (Wednesday) to February 19 (Wednesday) at 12:00 PM.
5. What documents are required for the application?
☞ Applicants must submit an application form (filled out through Google Forms), a transcript for the first semester of the 113th academic year, and a course schedule for the 113-2 semester.
☞ If applicants have any relevant experience or documents, such as TOPIK Korean proficiency test results, internships in Korean companies, or Korean speech competition certificates, these will be given extra points.

6. Where can the Academic Scholarship be applied?

7. What are the responsibilities after receiving the Academic Scholarship?
☞ Scholarship recipients must serve as simple teaching assistants for the Korean Language Program courses.
☞ Students must complete the Korean Language Program courses and obtain the program completion certificate before graduation.
☞ Scholarship recipients are required to actively participate in future events such as Korean cultural festivals and workshops.
