Directions for Korean Studies and Language Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

  1. National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe University\u201d) has established Korean Studies and Language Program (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe Program\u201d) for the purpose of cultivating Korean language and culture professionals in accordance with the Key Points of the University\u2019s Credit Program. The Program is organized by the College of Liberal Arts.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  2. Students (excluding extension students) from all departments (schools) of the University who do not speak Korean as their native language may apply to take the Program during their enrollment in the University.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  3. The Program is based on the accreditation system. Students who have completed relevant courses after registration may apply for the issuance of a certificate for the Program. The registration process will take place in the second semester of each academic year and the registration schedule will be announced by the Office of Academic Affairs.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  4. A minimum of 20 credits\u00a0are required for the Program, half of which must be in subjects other than those taken from the student\u2019s own department (institute), auxiliary department, or other programs. For course information, please refer to the Curriculum of Korean Studies and Language Program.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  5. Students who are majoring in the same or similar specialized subjects as those in the Program will be allowed to be credited after examination and approval by the Program\u2019s curriculum team; however, the maximum number of credits to be taken is 12. Students who have passed the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 1 or higher are exempt from taking \u201cKorean for Beginners (I)\u201d and \u201cKorean for Beginners (II)\u201d; those who have passed the TOPIK Level 2 or higher are exempt from taking \u201cIntermediate Korean (I)\u201d and \u201cKorean Conversation and Listening Practice (I)\u201d; those who have passed TOPIK Level 3 or higher are exempt from taking \u201cIntermediate Korean (II)\u201d and \u201cKorean Conversation and Listening Practice (II).\u201d<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  6. Students who are registered in the Program and are qualified to graduate from the department (institution) they are enrolled in but have not yet completed all the subjects and credits of the Program may apply for an extension of their studies in accordance with the regulations; otherwise, they are considered to have forfeited their qualifications for the Program; however, if they are admitted to a master\u2019s or doctoral program at a school in the Taiwan University System, they may apply to continue the Program after admission.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  7. Students who have completed the subjects and credits stipulated in the Program may submit their applications and transcripts of previous years to the Office of Academic Affairs for the issuance of a certificate for the Program after the organizer has examined them.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  8. Students should pay the credit fee for the Program in accordance with the regulations.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  9. In order to take into account the rights and interests of students enrolled in the Program, the required courses are given priority to students enrolled in the Program.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  10. All matters not stipulated in the Directions shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.<\/span><\/h5><\/li>
  11. The Directions shall be implemented after they are approved by the Academic Affairs Meeting; the same shall apply to amendments.<\/span><\/h5><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    1. Eligibility:<\/strong><\/span>
    Undergraduate, Master\u2019s, and Doctoral students (excluding current graduating students) from all departments within the NTU System.<\/span><\/p>

    2. Application Period:<\/strong><\/span>
    During the second semester of each academic year. The registration schedule follows the announcement by the Office of Academic Affairs.<\/span><\/p>

    3. Application Procedure:<\/strong><\/span>
    Please complete the registration via the Credit Program Application System of the Office of Academic Affairs within the designated application period.<\/span><\/p>
